ABOUT

Lucía Zamudio was born in Madrid in 1994 and works in Palma de Mallorca. After studying architecture at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM), she began shaping her identity as a visual artist at Taller del Prado under the guidance of Paco Molina. In 2022, she moved to Mallorca to continue her work as an architect and designer. Her visual work has been warmly welcomed on the island, and since then, she has been combining both disciplines. This cross-disciplinary approach forms the foundation of her paintings, where purely abstract elements meet furniture figures, decor, gabled houses, and skyscrapers. The Mediterranean landscape deeply influences her imagination, which she interprets through her expressionist lens. The various themes explored in Lucía Zamudio’s work are intertwined with imagination and reverie, paying attention to those small, bright ideas that emerge just before waking up. The surreal, the real, interpretation, memory, recollection, the loss of what we dream. How surreal is really a dream so vivid that seems real, but upon waking up it remains just a dream?
